We are one big family, incorporating those with interests in acting, dancing, singing and production and backstage, and as with any community group we are constantly on the lookout for new members. The Debenham Players Committee meets monthly and members assemble during productions. We perform our annual Panto, where we have donated 10% of ticket sales to local charities.

As well as drama for all ages (5 through to 17), there is also a Musical Theatre class for children aged 7-11. He has made commercials all over the world for companies such as Poloroid, Mitsubishi, Domestos, etc. Paul Press is also a voice over artist and has many commercials, corporate films and Talking books under his belt.

Buttrum’s Mill, Woodbridge
Well known Suffolk millers, the Buttrums, took over the mill in the 1860’s. George Buttrum introduced an auxiliary steam drive in 1886 allowing work to continue whatever the weather. Buttrum’s Mill worked until 1928 when the stones turned for the last time. The tallest surviving windmill in Suffolk, the tower is built of red brick laid in Flemish bond.

Framlingham Castle (English Heritage)
Magnificent example of a late 12th century castle. Built by Roger Bigod, Earl of Norfolk, the castle, together with Framlingham Mere, was designed both as a stronghold and as a symbol of power at the court of Henry II. Architecturally, the castle is notable for its curtain wall and mural towers, an early example of this design.

Saxtead Post Mill (English Heritage)

Suffolk Punch Horse Society
The Suffolk Horse Society, founded in 1887, is the breed society for the Suffolk Horse, popularly known as the Suffolk Punch.
The Suffolk Punch is one of the four UK breeds of heavy horse (cart horse or draft horse) Suffolk, Percheron, Shire and Clydesdale. These horses were the most important and most flexible powerhouse for agriculture and transport. A whole way of life grew up around them with its own traditions, superstitions and above all, secrets.

Woodbridge Tide Mill

The Classic Strings Orchestra is directed and led by Nicolas Ward, leader of the Northern Chamber Orchestra and the City of London Sinfonia. Community Light Orchestra
